Buffalo Wild Wings Copycat Wings

I am not sure there is someone who loves wings more than my husband. During my life, wings have been hit or miss for me. I enjoy the buffalo flavor, I don’t enjoy the hard to eat mess. But I guess that’s half the enjoyment of wings, they are messy. Anyway, it was my husband that introduced me to Buffalo Wild Wings and needless to say, the ole B dubs has me a changed woman. 

Ever since I first tried their many flavor of wings, I’ve been wanting to re-create them. My personal favorites include their traditional (in medium), spicy garlic, and asian zing. But seriously, the spicy garlic… life changing! So if you’re a wings or B dubs fan, you’ll enjoy this one! Make these for your next party or sports get together, you’ll be sure to have a crowd pleaser!

Spicy Garlic Wings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1tablespoon butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 teaspoons water
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 12 dozen cooked wings

Instructions

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a small sauce pan and stir to mix. Heat over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Combine egg yolk, water, and cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk until fully combined. Whisk mixture into cooled sauce.
  3. Toss cooled wings in sauce and serve!

Asian Zing Wings

  • 4 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sriracha (or more)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 teaspoons water
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 12 dozen cooked wings

  1. Combine first 10 ingredients in a small sauce pan and stir to mix. Heat over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Combine egg yolk, water, and cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk until fully combined. Whisk mixture into cooled sauce.
  3. Toss cooled wings in sauce and serve
