It seems to be a common theme throughout life, we enjoy the familiar. We know what we like and rarely do we deviate from that. Wines are no different. We get into a habit of buying up the same wines we know and love. Rarely do we grab a new bottle off the shelf of the grocery store in fear that maybe we won’t like it…
Dad always told me to try something once because you never know if you’re going to like it or not. And it is because of this that I have found some of my favorite new wines.
Enter Glassful.

The lovely people at Glassful (who read MY blog, what!?) offered to send me a test box of wine. I hopped online and filled out a survey about what sorts of foods, smells, and tastes I enjoy. Easy peasy. And then they shipped me three bottles of wine hand selected by their team to fit my tastes according to the answers to my quiz!
Some days I get hate mail thanks to my blog and some days I get wine… In case you’re wondering, I prefer the latter.
Glassful is unlike other wine clubs that send you a blanket selection or asks you to choose from a few dozen options, Glassful removes the burden of having to choose your wines as they select wines specifically for you! So what’s all in the box?
The first thing I noticed about the box was the packaging! I am such a sucker for cute packaging! And this box was perfect, it even contained a handle on top for easy carrying! Right on!
Open it up and look at that printed paper with their Glassful scrolling font! LOVE IT! On the lid of the box, one of my favorite wine quotes “I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.” So clever!
In each shipment, you will receive three different bottles of wine (red, white, or mixture of both) that have been hand chosen just for you. The box also contained some other goodies. In my box, there was a Glassful wine opener as well as some information on how wines are made, pairing wines with food, and how Glassful works. I also received a HAND WRITTEN note personally addressed to me. It made my snail mail, old fashioned heart swoon.
In this shipment, I received a Pinot Noir (my favorite wine), a Riesling, and a Barbera. I tried the Barbera first because it was something a little different that I had never tried before. It was a dry red, but extremely smooth. The Pinot Noir was fantastic. My perfect wine. And the Riesling was crisp and refreshing. Exactly what I like in a white wine.
I must say their wine experts were spot on with my selections, I was extremely pleased with my box. Glassful would make a fantastic gift for anyone on your gift list.
