READING
Celebrating Lent for the first time this year (more on that later) and I have been enjoying learning more about Lent and what it all means leading up to Easter. I am also slowly but surely getting through Parenting by Paul Tripp, the book is full of AMAZING nuggets of wisdom about how to parent in a Gospel based way.
LISTENING TO
I haven’t really been listening to much lately. Usually I am good about listening to podcasts or sermons, but lately I just enjoy a little bit of nothingness – quiet, solitude. When I get ready in the mornings, I usually put on some worship music to start my day out right. Here are a few of my favorites right now.
Right Here – Charles Billingsley
Wonderful Maker – Chris Tomlin
This I Believe – Hillsong Worship
Trust in You – Lauren Daigle
Wonderfully Made – Ellie Holcomb
COOKING
I am sad to admit it but lately I have been in a cooking slump. It is hard enough just to get food on the table let alone think of creative recipes and then cook them and do dishes because exhaustion is real around here. But here’s what we’ve enjoyed lately!
BUYING
A little bit of everything here from makeup storage to bag sealers (seriously, you need these in your life) and a few of my favorite items I’ve added to my closet and my everyday makeup routine. I also added two of my new favorite teas as my favorite Teavana teas are not longer available online. I found Tumblewood Teas (local business in Montana) and I’m in love with their teas!

BEAUTY
Train Makeup Case // I’ve been looking for a new something to travel with my makeup, skincare, etc. that isn’t a dark hole I have to dig through. I LOVE this case – it does take up a BIT more space than my previous bag(s), but I love how organized it is and easy to get in and out of.
ItCosmetics Superhero Mascara // Hands down my new favorite mascara – I have been a die hard Lancome mascara girl for years then switched to Tartiest and this one has been the BEST I’ve ever tried.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector // I have been putting this under my CC cream or foundation and I love the brightness it gives to my tired mom eyes. PSA a little bit goes a long way!
Benefit High Brow Pencil // Another way for me to wake up my tired mom eyes! I love using this not only on my brow bone to highlight, but also in the inside corner of my eyes.
FASHION
High Rise Super Skinny Simone Jeans // The ultimate Mom jeans at a great price point and quality. These have been my new go-to’s – they are comfortable and they help keep everything IN! š
UO Out from Under Jojo Thermal // I love these shirts – they are so soft and cozy. I own them in several colors. I do recommend sizing down one size because they are oversized!
Universal Thread Western Denim Shirt // Target launched their new Universal Thread line and I was excited to pick something up. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this shirt – it is THICK and a nicer quality than what I would expect from Target. I also love the pearl snaps.
IN THE KITCHEN
Stay Fresh Bag Sealers // My mother-in-law showed me these and honestly, what a great concept! It keeps open bags of chips from going stale or keeps an open bag of frozen veggies from spilling everywhere and causing my husband to want to divorce me (I’m just being real).
Tumblewood Teas Custer’s Nutty Rooibos // This one is my new favorite. It is so yummy and isn’t too strong like a black tea would be. Rooibos are some of my favorite teas!
Tumblewood Teas Patty’s Irish Breakfast // If you are looking for a good black tea, this Irish breakfast one is perfect. It is simple and flavorful. It is also excellent mixed with a little splash of cream!
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides // I keep seeing this again and again and I finally decided to give a go. Momma could use healthier hair and stronger nails. Whether or not it works is to be decided.
Fun post! I’m going to check out Karla on Instagram.
We just got home from Arizona, and my mom had the bag sealer sticks! Iām sold… love them!
