When JORD Watches reached out to me a couple weeks ago to collaborate, it felt like divine intervention. I’ve seen their products being reviewed and recommended by several influencers I follow, but I had not yet pulled the trigger on purchasing one of their watches. I’ve long time been impressed with the seemingly high quality of watches and their unique aesthetic totally appeals to me. It is no secret that I enjoy standout accessories that are unique and also ones that I can wear daily.

Of course, with any collaboration, it is important to me that I only share products and brands that meet standards that I approve of as well as items that I, in fact, will use and wear. STYLE
My favorite thing about this watch is the sleek and simple yet modern design. I love the subtle wood texture in the band as well as the big watch face. One of my biggest pet peeves with women’s watches is small faces. I like big, bold accessories on my wrist. Even though it is wood, it can be a perfect neutral that can pair easily with any other bracelets, rings, and other accessories. But it can also be a bold, beautiful stand alone on your wrist too. I love that the wood adds texture and another layer to any outfit.
CARE
Of course, with anything like this, everyone always asks “how do I have to take care of it – is any additional care required?” JORD watches are splash proof – meaning normal, everyday wear can include things like kitchen activities, the gym, etc. However, full submergence in water is not recommended to obtain the integrity of the wood itself. The biggest enemy of JORD watches is sudden changes in temperature and humidity. It is not recommended to leave the watch in your car where it can be exposed to drastic temperature changes. As far as avoiding humidity, JORD recommends that you store the watch in its original packaging (they have several amazing options) or in a jewelry box to protect it from an overly wet or dry environment.
Occasionally, it is recommended that you condition the wood with tung oil or lemon oil. As far as care goes, it seems fairly simple and straightforward and doesn’t require too much extra TLC than any other high-end piece of jewelry. Plus the natural wood is 100% worth the care.
OVERALL
If you are a watch lover, JORD watches are a must-have. Even if you aren’t a big watch wearer, JORD watches may convert you. HOW TO STYLE
For my watch, I chose the Frankie style in Zebrawood & Champagne color – the large champagne face is bold, sleek, and timeless. It is truly a neutral that can layer well with any color combinations. While the watch may seem dressy, it can pair easily with jeans and a graphic tee or transition to night by adding a dressy blouse. I love that versatility.
Choosing just one watch was tough, JORD offers a variety of beautiful choices from the timeless neutrals that will pair well with any outfit to truly stand out, statement pieces that will make your outfit. I wanted something that would go well with everyday wear as well as the jewelry I already own.
