Thyme-Vodka Lemonade

thyme-vodka lemonade cocktail featuring thyme simple syrup

Ingredients

Scale
  • Lemonade
  • Juice of 7 lemons (about 7 ounces lemon juice)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Thyme Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 ounce thyme, about 68 sprigs
  • Thyme-Vodka Lemonade Cocktail
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka (1 shot)
  • 2 ounces lemonade (1 1/2 shots)
  • 1 ounce thyme lemonade (1/2 shot)
  • thyme springs and lemons to garnish

Instructions

  1. To make the lemonade, combine all ingredients and stir well to dissolve sugar. Can store in refrigerator for a week to two.
  2. To make the thyme simple syrup, heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium high heat until boiling. Add the thyme, boil for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool, keeping thyme in the pan. Once ready to use, strain off the thyme. Can be stored in the refrigerator for several months.
  3. To make the cocktail, fill a glass with ice. Add the vodka, lemonade, and simple syrup. Give it a stir. Garnish with a thyme sprig and slice of a lemon. Enjoy!

Notes
